Dnique Ok so if I put in my windows 7 disc it goes to a black screen with a cursor and stays there and with my recovery disc it will just Does the cause give anyone a clue as to what went wrong and how to fix it? I typed in chkdsk /p and hit enter. -- It took some time for CHKDSK to do its work, probably 10 minutes. Just attach a USB stick and you will see it in the Storage Media window just near your hard disk... it worked like a charm on my old Dell desktop! It doesn't do anything.
