If this happens, manually reboot the PC and everything will be okay. This is a hardware problem, right? Windows 7/64 Home Edition. If this doesn't work, it may be time to look at a new laptop. 5 years is considered a full life for a laptop.

For me the solution was Microsoft's explanation "This can occur when more than one service is defined for a device (…)" ( https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/310123#bookmark-19 ) I had a generic LibUSB driver from Check on that. Went to regedit and there is no " DisableSelectiveSuspend" on this desktop (SYX) so now I'm headed to uninstall all 7 of these devices and will let you know what happens.
