Yikes Z97 chipset, in my conservative world that still counts as bleeding edge :-p I am now 100% certain that your issue is related to a BIOS setting. It will detect USB device insertions and removals. Is there a way to manually reinstall the drivers via DOS, the other partition, or some other solution that might work? I enabled the windows 7 installation option and now it recognized both the keyboard and the mouse in usb 3.0 aswell.. I think this is what little Joey from Hong Kong was telling us.... It worked!
